About the data

  • Pay is the BLS median for a whole occupation, nationally or in one state (May 2025). Your own pay depends on your employer, experience, location and many other factors. It does not include benefits and is not adjusted for living costs.
  • O*NET ratings describe a typical worker in a job, not every job or every person.
  • Match scores are our own estimate of how much of your experience carries over to another career. They are not a prediction that you will get a job or succeed in it.
  • Test results describe your answers. They are not a clinical or psychological assessment.
  • Licensing and training rules differ by state and change over time. Always check with the state board or agency that licenses the career you are considering.

We check our numbers against the original government files, but data can contain errors and can become outdated. See our Methodology for how the numbers are built.
